Submitting docs at VFS - Need advice ASAP

During 221g processing, consulate asked me for additional documents to be submitted to VFS in person.

I will not be able to travel to the consulate so I am planning to send it via my cousin.

Is that acceptable?

I checked the VFS site and got the answer

IN PERSON – either by the applicant or by a representative.

Anyone can submit the documents to VFS. You don't need to go there in-person.
