I got green slip at chennai

I had interview for H1b at chennai last week. I got 221 (G) Green slip. They advised me to send some documents alongwith passport to nearest VFS Center.

So what is green slip ? How much time it takes for visa approval after document submit ?
Is there any chance for visa approval ?
