Hello,
I' currently in the US with I797 dating 1/1/11 to 12/31/11 (no stamped H1 visa) and plan to go to India on 7th Nov. for my wedding. Before I leave I will also have my new I797 in hand dating 1/1/12 to 12/31/12. My questions are:
1) which WAC do I use to book my appt? the old I797 or new one?
2)If I use my old I797 to get the appointment will they give me a H1 visa that is valid only till 12/31/11?
3) Is there a way i can use both my I797 (the new and old) and get a H1 visa stamped till 12/31/12? If so how do I go about doing that?
