Time between I-539 filing and resigning from current job

I am planning to take some time off and change my status from active H1-B to H4 on my Spouse's H1-B.

I am thinking of filing I-539 COS in couple of day. My question is :

How much time I should allow in between e-filing I-539 and resigning from my current job?

eFiling must be done before you stop working. You can continue working as long as you like after filing until COS does not get approved. After approval you must stop working.
