L1 to H1

Hi,

I had L1 visa and it has expired on Aug 23rd. My employer has applied for the extension of my L1 visa and my wife's L2 visa which has also expired on 23rd August. Still the extension is in initial review status.

Now, the same employer is trying to apply for H1 visa. But, in their checklist..they didn't mention anything about H4 visa. Do I need to ask them to apply for H4 for my wife at this time? If yes, what documents I need to submit to my employer?

Please help me.

Your wife will need to file I-539 to change her status to H4. Employer can help with that the same way they helped with the previous I-539 to extend her L2 status.
