mumbai or chennai consulate for visa stamping

i have a valid h1b petition ,so do i need to go for visa stamping for mumbai or chennai?
or else
where can i go ?
i m working in bangalore so can i go for mumbai ?
if i go to mumbai so VO will ask any question reg this?

pls suggest if you know.
