Help- Mistakein DS-160

Hello,

I made a mistake in DS-160.I wrote annual salary instate of monthly salary in DS 160.
I summited DS 160 and I took date to Delhi with that DS conformation code.
Rest of everything is correct in DS -160.

Please if any one know the procedure to correct that one,let me know.

You cannot correct a DS-160 that is already submitted. You either have to cancel the appointment and take a new one after filling a new DS160 or call the VFS helpdesk and see if they can help you. VFS helpdesk will most likely ask you to take a printout of the DS160 that you have submitted. Make the corrections there and take it with you for the visa interview. Anyways, talk to VFS.

If I cancle my appointment then i have to pay agagin Visa fees at HDFC bank and use the barcode.Or I can you same old barcode after canclation.

You can use the same HDFC receipt. You can cancel the appointment only twice. After that the HDFC receipt will be deactivated for 90 days before you can book another appointment with the same receipt. Check the below link for more information.

So if now If i File new DS 160 so it menas that generat new cesc code number.I have to use taht one for new appointment .M I right ?
What about my old DS -160?

I wrote the E mail to the VFS Delhi and they answer me like that.
I do not Understand clearly last two sentence of the email.
Here the answer of VFS:

Further, you may go ahead for your U.S Visa interview on scheduled date and most importantly intimate the Consular Officer regarding this. However, the decision lies with the Consular Officer.

So I donot unserdtand clearly what they wnat to say at the end.

Any advise.

They are asking you to go ahead with the scheduled interview and let the VO know that the information about the monthly income was entered wrongly inthe DS-160. Take a printout of the response from VFS and show it to the VO to prove that you realised this mistake after submitting the DS160 and spoke to VFS to find ways to correct it. You can also take a printout of the submitted DS-160 and make the correction and carry the hard copy with you. The VO may accept your visa application or may ask you to fill a new one and attend the interview again. That is what they have mentioned as the decision lies with the VO.

If you don't want to go through all this and if you are okay with cancelling the appointment and booking another one on a different date (with the correct information in DS160), then that is also an option.

Is that possible?Or I have to wait certain time after cancle the appoitment.

Can I make a same day appointment? Is there any reason to make another day appointmet?

That is what I have mentioned in my previous reply. Taking a printout of the existing DS160 and correcting it with a whitener or redoing a new DS160 and taking the printout are the same.
