My wife and I live in US. We have Indian passports and are planning a India trip shortly and will require a visit to the chennai consulate to get our H1-B visas stamped. Unfortunately, her passport got wet in rain. VISA page, I-94 and her bio page are not damaged. One of the past US arrival stamp has been washed. Also the lamination on the last page seems to be peeling off.
My question is, would this be considered valid grounds for rejecting/delaying her VISA? Since we're coming to India to attend an important family function, we unfortunately do not have time to apply for a new indian passport in US which will take a month to arrive. So hoping that her passport is not considered damaged by the VISA officers.
