221g Blue

Hello Everyone,

I received 221g blue in December 2011 from first time H1b interview (returning H1b), asked for h1b petition documents, client letter, job description, petitioner office photos and project details. Submitted the asked documents in January 2nd week. Still no reply from consulate. Are there any one who got their visa approved after submitting the same documents and what is the expected time line. Your answers will be much appreciated and will help me to take the next step.

I submitted almost same documents except photographs on 19th Jan. Still no update.

Submitted same set of documents on 27 Jan as heard and read its takes Minimum 15 working maxmium 90 days

Interview Date - 20 DEC
Got Green 221g slip
Submitted all requested doc on 3rd JAN
11th FEB - got mail to submit passport but at last of mail ,it was written it never means your visa is issued now..
So little tensed...................................................... .........................................

Anyone can please share something about the mail ..what it really mean..

I think this is good news for you. You will have to submit your passport which will then be stamped and returned to u. From what i understand readin online blogs, is that you would get back ur stamped passport within a week from when u submit. Congrats!

what docs did they ask from u, in the green 221g?

99.99% your visa is approved. I see people getting this email never got any further issue.

You said you got green slip and you still submitted documents. Could you let us know which documents you submitted? Also is it your VISA renewal or first time?

what is ur employer model? and what docs did they request from you initially in the 221g?

I am a civil engineer working on a client "site" where the building is actually being constructed.
The documents which they asked for:
1) Last 3 years company's Tax returns
2) List of all the employees, immigration status, salaries, client location etc.
3) Contract with the client
4) My personal tax returns of last 3 years.

I am also waiting that long but in my case they asked to submit the same documents again on 17th Jan. Looks like they never checked my documents which were submitted on 15th Dec 2011.
is it your first VISA stamping? or you were in US and came here for vacation?
I came on vacation and got stuck...

I have been living in united states over 5 years.
This is my first H1b visa stamping(F1-H1).
I came here for vacation and got stuck like you.
Working directly for reputed medical devices company through american staffing company.
Submitted additional documents on 23rd dec.
My employer did the congressional inquiry and contacted senators to know the status of my application.
He came to know that my application is pending under Admin processing.
No idea how long they gonna take to clear this Admin process...

I was staying in US for 4 years (F1 - H1)
This is my first H1b visa stamping. Working full time
Visa date : 19 dec, Got 221g blue form
documents submitted on 27 Dec
Now i am waiting for almost 2 months without any update from mumbai consulate
