H1 blue slip from Mumbai with comments

There is update from my side. I got the following Email today
Dear Sir:

Greetings from the Nonimmigrant Visa Section of U.S. Consulate General Mumbai.

Please follow the instructions below in order to continue processing your pending visa application further.

We are ready for final processing. Please submit your passport, pending letter and the courier envelope to the Consulate General via any of the VFS offices. Please carry a copy of this email for ready reference.

Please note that this email communication does not confirm that your visa is issued at this time.

I had got a 221g Blue slip... I had submitted the docs alongwith the 221 g blue letter on 23rd Feb 2012. I am considering myself very fortunate to get this email within 1 week. Although I went through my office docs before submitting.. and it was good 80-100 page info.. I saw no reason to get stopped any further. However this is way too early then my expectations..

My office/Lawyer had earlier mailed the docs directly to the VFS on Jan end. However VFS told me that they wont accept couriers and whatever they might have received they would have sent back. That is the reason I went there in Person to submit the docs on 23rd FeB

I will submit my passport tomm. Can anyone tell me how much time it takes to get the passport back?

i heard the passport takes somewhere between 4-7 days from the time u submit. good luck to u and keep us posted.

@abhi1985 -- v r kinda in the same boat... i submitted the docs on 6th jan... waiting ever since w/o updates...

@maulikmehta123: Congrats. I am still waiting. It takes around 3-4 business days to get the passport back I think.

@hkh When I applied for my H1B from US .. Yes It was Premium Processed. But I highly doubt that is of any relation here. Neways good luck to all you guys.. U will get updates soon

Send an e-mail to VFS help desk Mumbai.
Let them know about your reaffirmed petition.
I think you have to reappear for the VISA interview with your reaffirmed petition.

IS anybody knows what would be the next steps after USCIS reaffirmed petition? do we have to reappear for VISA interview or just have to submit a passport at VFS?

Hey Guys

finaly got my passports back on 2nd March after submitting them on 27th March, 2 days after receiving email from embassy to submit them on 24th march. So as it is mentioned on this forum it takes about a weeks time to receive the passports back.

Hi All,

I went to mumbai consulate on 7th March for interview... and got 221g

Vo was middle age strange woman...

Me: Good Morning mam..
VO: (No response)

VO: show me your passport..
Me: (Given)

VO: where is your old passport?
Me: ( It was my cancelled passport.. so I was not carrying that with me.... Negative impression started here)

VO: who is your client?
Me: Told

VO: Who is your manager?
Me: Told


VO: How many of your peer are there at onsite?
Me: Told


VO: What is the VISA status of your manager (One of the strange question I never heard about)
Me: I was blank.... I said I dont know exactly


VO: How long he is there?
ME: I said from last 2 year... bliendly...

VO: whats your highest qualification?
Me: BE(IT)

VO: Duration of course.....
Me: 4 year(Again answewred wrongly by assumption... Actully I have done diploma after 10th...SO i got admission to direct second year engineering... So for me its only 3 year course)


thats it..


She gave me 221g blue slips by checking list of document I need to submit...

I dont have few document with me like... Client contract... I dont know when I will respond this one..


Anyway,

Have anyone came across like this.... What is the % of 221g clearence?


Mine is the premium case... Do they consider this thing while processing 221g?
