your case is not very different for most of us here. To answer your questions, 221g clearance depends on case to case basis. Some Cases have been cleared as soon as a week, whereas some have been pending for a 'few' months.. so it really depends. Premium filing of H1 does not seem to have any bearing on ur 221g case. Mine was a premium processing case, but i stil waiting for 2 months and counting.

Good luck to you, hopefully you ll get the clearance soon!

        • Urgent !!

]Visa interview - 8th dec @ Mumbai consulate
Administration process - 221g blue form
Submitted docs - 8th of dec
Received another blue form - 23of dec
Submitted docs - 20 of jan
Received blue form - 3 feb
Last blue form asked me to submit the wage reports for last 4 quarters. I asked VFS whether My company can send the docs directly to US consulate secondary to confidentiality purpose.
I got a reply on 7th of feb stating. your h1b has been refused as company is not willing to provide docs and as per docs provided and interview they are not satisfied with employer employee relationship. it was mentioned my case will be return to KCC who will send it back to USCIS for further review and probable revocation.
I replied them on 9th of feb saying there is some confusion. I havent submitted docs yet and my employer is ready to submit docs which i would be submitting soon.
I did not wait for their reply and submitted my docs with 221g blue form on 10th of feb . VFS accepted my docs
On 13th feb I got a reply , " As per US consulate please submite all required docs along with blue form to VFS center. "

I havent heard anything from them till now.

CAn you please suggest me what to do next ?
Should i wait for them to reply or file for another h1? And my case it still here or they have sent it to KCC.

            • Stuck with 221g

It is exactly three months now i appeared for my H1B renewal stamping with my wife and kid at BKC

              Interview Date : 14 -Dec-2011 ( Got 221g blue slip )
              Documents submitted : 29-Dec -2011
              Model : EVC
              GC : I140 approved ( PD Current )

I asked to VFS couple of times and they came back with the standard reply. In one email they asked me to check the case status online PDF file on Mumbai US consulate web site. I am checking the file daily for my CEAC barcode. It is very frustating and depressing day by day. I asked my employer and attorney if they can expedite the process but they said just to wait and let the process finish. My H1B extension is already approved and is expiring in Sep 2012. I got an REF before approval because of employee-employer relationship. I work at client place in different state ( NJ) and my employer is in MA. I guess that was the reason for RFE and properly replied and got approved 2 years ago,

I really do not understand why they take so much time for stamping the case which is already approved when person was in US. I understand for the first timers H1B checking. But the people who have already worked more than 5 yrs in US and came to India on emergency and have 2 weeks vacation really having a tough time as everything in US is stranded( apartment, car, insurance, bills ).

Well i wish all in the forum to hope for the best . Good Luck everybody and keep posting.

                • 221g Blue - Original 797

I recieved a 221g Blue form from the mumbai consulate. I submitted all the required docs. However, they did not ask for my original 1797 and I did not submit it. Should I contact them or is it normal practice not to submit the original 797?

                      • Hi,

my petition got reaffirmed on 1st March and i got reaffirmed notice in that week. I also called VFS and told them that my petition got reaffirmed and but they said just wait for consulate call.

Is there any way to speed up process to update records in PIMS? i think consulate is waiting to update records in PIMS first.

Abhi, i actually meant asking for the Senators to help your case. I recently heard a couple cases where they did approach the local senators to intervene. One of them got a positive response, dunno abt the other one.

No help in my case to be honest. Infact if senator is supporting to stop H1B's agenda, he can mess up your case. Best is to wait and watch. There is no influence of senator on consulate and DOS.
