Submitted docs today

Finally,

My employer handed over all the required docs to me. I submitted those to Pune VFS today morning...

My Journey in short:

VISA filed on : 14 Nov 2011.

Converted the case to Premimum Processing on: 24th Jan 2012.

Got RFE on: 30th Jan 2012.

I was about to submit the docs to respond to RFE.... Got petition approved.... ( strange but true..)

Petition Approved on : 8th Feb 2012.

Scheduled Interview on: 7th March 2012..

Got 221g blue sheet as a gift from Mumbai Consulate...

Replied to 221g on: 4th April 2012....

Now wait game started......... Hope things will be sorted soon....

Got reply form Consulate regarding my recent inquiry:-

"As per the US Consulate they received your documents on Jan 31, 2012. Your case is still under pending status..."

I don't understand how come they received my documents on 31st JAN..Though I submitted all required documents on 23rd dec at VFS ahmedabad as per 221g blue slip..

Consulate wasted my precious 1 month...Now I should count form 31st JAN instead of 23rd DEC..

I submitted all documents first on 15th Dec 2011. US Consulate asked me to submit all these again on 19th Jan.
I too lost whole one month as they must be considering that I submitted documents only on 19th Jan.
God knows how long this wait is going to be.

In reposnse to my case status update this time VFS has asked me to send a scan copy of 221g.
I sent the copy to them today. As it is more than 3 months i called DOS to check if they have any updates. DOS said it is still pending and have to wait. God only know whats going to happen next.

Finally my company could arrange docs and submitted at VFS mumbai on 2nd Apr.
Now I shall be waiting for the golden email from mumbai consulate.

Waiting for positive results......

Does anybody know how we get the response from consulate.. like email, mail, sms ?

When do they send the documents back to us?

How soon can we apply for another H1b?

221 g issue is because of the employer or employee?

uscis screwed it up!

This morning I got a call from consulate about my pending case. They mentioned that there is some discrepancy in my I-797 expiration dates. The expiration date on ahard copy of I 797 is different than their database.

Now, my employer/attorney has to contact uscis and get that corrected. Meanwhile consulate would send our passports back without visa and another 221G (blue). Once the date on I-797 is fixed then we have to resubmit passport back to consulate for stamping. Have anybody heard anything like this before?

Brief timelines on my 221G journey,

Visa interview date : January 3, 2012 (handed Green 221G)
CEAC barcode appeared in PDF : February 9 2012
Passport submitted : February 10, 2012
Consulate called : April 5, 2012

Meantime tonnes of emails and phone calls amd emails to VFS.

Current status : UNCERTAIN untill dates on I797 get corrected.

I wish if usics would not have screwed it up at first place!!!

Hello Friends,

Finally I got an e-mail from consulate regarding submission of my Passport.
I think this is end of my waiting period.
Going to submit my passport on Monday because tomorrow is holiday...
Hopefully I will receive my passport back with VISA stamped.

Great news and heartiest congratulations...its been a long wait i know. Its good that you got the email before holiday weekend. I know its difficult to pass next 3 days for you now seriously.

CEAC barcode appeared in PDF : February 9 2012

221g White slip AAP victim since 9th March 2012.

Visa interview date : March 9, 2012 (handed white slip 221G AAP and VO took my employer documents(tax returns, notarized employee list and my passport))
Passport Returned: March 14th, 2012
USCIS/ Consulate verification :March 14th, 2012(USA company) and March 15th, 2012(Indian company).
Passport Submitted: No(i didnt receive any update since March 14th, 2012).

Its been good couple of weeks for folks who had interviews in Dec 2011. Have faith in god. Hopefully everybody who are stuck with this 221g beast will have a positive result.
