H1, H4 back to H1 after 6 years

Hi,

I worked on H1 from Nov 2005 to Dec 2008 and moved to H4. I am planning to get back to work now. But my H1 + H4 years are already 6 years. Do you think I can still apply for a new H1? Do the H4 years count. Please let me know

Only the time spend in U.S in H1B + L1 status counts against the 6 year period.
