About H1 traveling abroad and H4 staying in the USA

Hi all seniors,
I am planing to travel for Australia for a week and my H4 wife and 2kids will stay in the USA at home, is it ok or she and kids also have to leave country with me.
I am just going for work with same companies branch in australia for week.

Your dependents can stay as long as you are traveling for a short duration with full intention of returning in H1 status.
