SSN Rejection reason

Hi,

I have reached US last month, last week i have applied my SSN, they given the acknowledgement saying that they have to verify my documents in to immigration office it will take 4 weeks,

Normally people are getting with in a two weeks

My problem is i didn’t change my LCA , my LCA was in New jersey, i have applied my SSN in New York.

Is it causing my SSN number?, do i get my SSN or will be in trouble.

Kindly advice me on this

This is normal. They need to verify some information from USCIS and they will issue the number once they receive confirmation.
This should not stop you from working though. SSN is not needed for working. For getting paid it is only required that you have applied for it. Not working makes you out of status.
