VFS Appointment issue

The site is up and working now, I was able to schedule the interview for chennai location.

I just tried again for chennai location and had the same problem. Any one else able to book appt like 'gj01'?

no bakas... i wasn't able to schedule either ... tried ie9 and ie8 ... gj01, can you tell us which browser you used?

I called just now 1pm. They said, back office is working on the issue.

I decided to wait till EOD rather than messing up the appointment. Any way Now from 5th appts are available.

I used IE 8.
I'm not sure if this makes sense, before scheduling i called the customer service and explained the situation and they informed me that there were technical problems and they are working to fix it, and also she asked me the details like given name, surname and passport number. Is it possible they would have done something getting details, Im not sure, may sound stupid. But I would recommed calling them and explain the problem and if asked for details provide your details.
I would recommed to hold you patience and keep trying..

You can try in Firefox. same thing happened to me.. then, I tried in firefox and went fine.

No luck as of 6:30AM India time [Saturday]. I was told by the helpdesk yesterday that they are working on it and that it should be OK by Monday. Tried in Firefox, IE8 and IE10.

Wrong consulate

I tried booking dates(H1-b first time) for Chennai consulate through VFS website(from US) for 5th Dec as the Mumbai dates never opened. So when I clicked on the chennai date a popup came and it asked me to click ok if I want to confirm chennai for 5th.However when I clicked ok and saw the appointment letter it had scheduled me for Kolkata consulate. I went ahead and canceled my appointment thinking I did something wrong(even though I was pretty sure that I had done it correctly the 1st time).
And 2nd time the same thing happened and it scheduled me Kolkata again. I did not cancel this time because apparently we are allowed to cancel our appointments only twice otherwise the HDFC receipt will get deactivated.
The other issue being my DS160 has Mumbai as the selected consulate therefore before I was trying to scheduled for Chennai I had spoken to a VFS representative and he had asked me to do it in Chennai or any other consulate except Kolkata . I didnt not pay too much attention to why not Kolkata because I was not planning to do there anyways. Now I am stuck with Kolkata and dont know what to do.. I spoke to them and emailed all the concerned VFS locations and they took my number and said will call me and emailed me saying they are having technical issues and are trying to resolve the issue.
The worst part is I am already in India and I am going back on dec 20th to US and dont know when and where I will go for my visa.and Having already canceled the appointment once, I dont know what other options I have apart from waiting for VFS to resolve the issue.
If you guys have any recommendations/comments,please advise

When i selected the date it poped up message with selected date in chennai. After that, confirmation message generated with different consulate mumbai. In this case, what can i do? Please, advise.

I was able to schedule an appointment, finally !! The site is up now.
