H1,I94 expired travel out of US

My H1 is expired and applied for H1 Extension well before, no receipt received yet. My company if following it up with USCIS.

Can i travel out of US with expired I94 and expired H1 Visa. Is there going to be a problem at the airport while leaving ?

It is not advisable to travel when an extension is pending with USCIS. The extension of status might get denied. You will not have any issues leaving U.S. If your current U.S visa has already expired, then you need to choose a flight that doesn't transit via Europe (except Belgium) or U.K.
