I have been religiously trying to get an appointment at the US Embassy New Delhi for the past 3 weeks. My preferred date is December 19. Whenever I use the "Earliest Available Appointment Date" link or the actual appointment form (where you have to enter some information and get a final confirmation of the appointment), I do not see New Delhi in the list of cities with calendars.
The calendar for New Delhi does not show up! I have written to VFS about it, but they shrug their shoulders saying that the US Embassy has the sole discretion of releasing visa interview dates.
Is anyone else experiencing the same problem? Can others go through the Earliest Available Date link and at least see New Delhi and whatever dates that are available there? Would someone please check it for me?
PS: I am in the US, so I select Indian Citizen Resident in the US, and then provide all the appropriate information.
I have booked a flight on the 15th of December, next Thursday. I still don't have an interview date. I changed status from F-1 to H-1 this October. I am not sure if I will be able to go to India this December
