H1B-I129 Petition Regular Filed on SEP 26

Hi,
My employer filed I-129 petition for my H1B Visa. USCIS received my application on Sep 26th,2011 and I received the notice I-797 with my case number on Nov 1st. My application was sent to California Service Center. I am still waiting for an update. USCIS website says processing time @ California Service Center is 2months, Its been more than 2 months after which I received the notice. I am planning to travel to India in Mid January So I am worried about it. Do I get my petition approval by that time? Or Do I need to apply for PREMIUM now? Pls advice....

I would like to know status of the people who applied for their H1B(Regular Processing) in September and still waiting for approval?

Normal processing time is 2-3 months. If it take more than 90 days from the date of receipt notice, then your attorney can take an infopass appointment with USCIS to discuss your case.

Thank you very much for the info. If my attorney desides to make an appointment with USCIS through infopass, does it has to be an IN PERSON appointment? Or appointment can be telephonic as well? My case is been processed by California Service Center and My attorney is in Detroit. I don't know whether my attorney will be interested in travelling to California if it is mandatory to attend IN PERSON after making the appoinment through infopass?
