Hi Team,

I have got I-797 for H1B Application, in this validity given is 01-Nov-2011 to 31-OCt-2012.

It means my H1B is valid for One year only ?

Or

My H1B visa if granted after interview can H1B be extended?

I am really confused, please help here.

Brief background, i had B1 and Jul2011 i went for L1b stamping. They cancelled my B1 (reason, i have travelled 5 times on B1) and rejected my L1B as well.

Please suggest.

The petition is approved for 1 year only. This can be because of many different reasons, like you have used 5 years of L1 time or your employer could only prove that they have work for 1 year.
Time spent in the US in H1 or L1 status counts towards the 6 year limit. Any remaining time can be captured by filing another petition at the end of the current petition.
Your previous Visa denials will not affect your H1 Visa application.

But my questions is

a). My petition is approved for 1 year, it can be extended without any issues ?

b). What is probability of having visa stamped without any issues, after my L1B rejected and my B1 rejected.

Read properly, already answered.
Petition can be extended later if there is any time remaining from the 6 year limit.
Unless reason for L1 denial was not related to fraud on your part, it will not affect H1 application.
