221(g) Green slip- asked to reappear for the interview again

Hi All,

I had my H1B visa interview on Oct 19th in Chennai consulate. Got 221(g) green slip.

Submitted my documents along with passport on Nov 8th.

Got a mail from consulate today(Dec 14th) asking me to appear for the interview again. What might be the reason in my case. Bit nervous about it.

Went thru the posts in this site, but haven't seen such case.

Any help, comments, tips or suggestions greatly appreciated!!!

Hi Helloymyworld,

I am in the same situation where you were in. I got a 221g and got a call from the consulate yesterday asking me to come to the consulate again.Can you please tell me what happened in your case?

Is it like a normal visa interview or anything different? Did they ask you to sign any documents?
What are the questions asked?
