Incorrect Visa Entry on I94

Hi,
I got my visa stamped on 12/13 in Mumbai India and Landed at JFK NY on 12/26. The Immigration officer mentioned as H1B visa on my wife's I94 instead of H4. Do I need to worry about it? How can I get this corrected?

Any help in this regards is appreciated.

Go to the same POE (international airport) and meet an office at the CBP and they will be able to help you. This is why it is important to check the I-94 before you leave the POE.

I checked the dates etc, but didnt check the Visa he mentioned. His handwriting was barely readable. I was too tired to read it in details.

Quick questions:

1) How urgent is this? I mean within how many days should I get this done?
2) Can I write or call them regarding this issue? Do I have to physically go there?
3) Are they open on weekends?

>>> If her status is considered to be H1B, then without payslips, she will be out of status. If she works, then that will violate the H4 regulations. It is a mess. So fix it asap.
