issued 221g @chennai consulate for H1b visa

Hi Everybody,

I attended Chennai consulate for H1-B visa renewal after4 years , on 28th Oct 2011 i attend consulate,Officer issued 221g for not having the work address in LCA instead it has employer address ,but there were my work address location as well my employer address location in LCA but officer is so busy that he only see the employer address when he open the LCA,but he did not check the address of work location which has stabled in last page ,its all my faith it supposed to be in first page,bcoz of this issued 221g ,on same day i submitted my LCA only which was asked in 221g ,till now i don't have any response from consulate,when i ever i call to VFS help desk same response Mandatory admin process.

Please suggest me what should i do as my petition is valid till may 20, 2012, i don't know still how long will admin process will take,as per the forums admin process will take long time.If i don't get any response till my petition expires should i apply for new petition?

This H1-B renewal changed my life,now i lost everything job,car,.......etc.please don't come unless it is very very important to you.


I suggest Every body who wants to come to India for Visa renewal or visa stamping please don't come.

I know the frustration as i am also stuck with 221 g AAP. I have produced all the documents VO asked for during the interview itself. I still dont understand why i was put on AAP. May be its because i had 2 H1 B petitions approved with in 10 months. Dont loose hope just be patient for few more days. According to my friends who were stuck with the same 221 g got response from the consulate between 70-90 days from the time of interview. Good Luck
