  • Withdraw H4 application after yellow slip

Hi, I am on H-1B visa and currently working in Canada. My wife applied for H4 in my absence and she was given a yellow slip and asked to provide justification for my current stay in Canada possible return time to US. Her application is still open and she has to submit additional documents.

My company laywer suggested to withdraw the application now and re-apply in the future when i go back to the US. My wife has already got visa for Canada and will join me to Canada soon. How can she withdraw her open application from US consulate in New Delhi or transfer it to Canada where she can pursue once she gets relevant documentation?

    Thanks for your help.

Just write a letter to the consulate stating that you would like withdraw the application. There is no process to transfer the application from one consulate to another. You need to withdraw and take a new appoint later at a different consulate.
