H1 B Visa Transfer

Hi,

My L1-B Visa and I94 were about to expire on 20-Nov-2011 and my employer filed H1-B and I got the receipt number on 3-Oct-2011. Can I work with employer with the H1-B receipt number?

Recently I got an offer with another emplyoer. Can H1-B transfer be initiated with the receipt number?

>>> No. You cannot work for the H1B sponsor until the H1B gets approved with a new I-94. To continue working on L1 status and L1 extension should have been filed.
