H1 Extension no receipt

My company applied H1 extension while i was in U.S well before I94 expiry date.

Its been 5 months and no receipt received. My company raised a query with USCIS on receipt but no reply till now.

Now i am out of U.S.

Please let me know what could be the course of action and what might happen to my Extension.

By this time you should have received the approval decision from USCIS. But you haven't even got the receipt notice. Are you sure your employer filed the extension? Employer should have got in touch with USCIS earlier rather than waiting for 5 months. If USCIS didn't receive your extension papers, then a new petition need to be filed. Anytime spend in U.S after your last I-94 expiry date will be considered as illegal stay. Ask your employer/attorney to follow up with USCIS. They can take an info pass appointment to discuss your case.
