I-94 Expiration Date (Urgent)

Hi Guys,

I have one question about I-94 expiration date. My wife is on H-4 visa and while coming to india she got i-94 with expiration date from old H-4 visa which expire on 24th Sept 2012. But before she went to India, I had got visa transfer. so we both have approval notice. But while travelling to india she had giver her I-94 from I797A. Now the situation is she got I-94 with expiration date as 24th Sept 2012. I am thinking to travel to Canada by car and come back. I am thinking to show them our approval notice so that we both can get new I-94 with expiration date from approval notice. Can I get I-94 with expiration date from approval notice while travelling to USA by car from Canada?

please if anyone has any thoughts on this issue please let me know.

Possible. You need to make sure that yo return all your I-94s when you leave the country and get new ones upon your return. For short visits, they won't remove the I-94 when you leave. They will ask you to use the same upon your return. So make sure you return your I-94 and get anew one.
