H1B visa stamping question

Hi,

I am residence of Gujarat, India.
Writer now I am living in USA.
My question is, In 2007 I got F1 visa from Mumbai consulate india. Since then i never went to india.
Now I have a H1B visa.
I want to go to india for first time H1B visa stamping. Is it necessary to go to Mumbai Consulate because I am residence of Gujarat or I can go to Delhi?

I heard that since i have a H1B, i Can go any where in India for stamping. Is it true?

You can attend the visa stamping at any U.S consulate in India.
