H1B to GC Priority

Hi,

I am working on an H1 visa . My employer is interested to file GC on my behalf in EB-3 category.
My husband is also working on H1B visa for a different employer. His GC is not filed yet.
In due course, if GC is filed for my husband in EB-2 category, what would be status of my GC ?

Whose GC status would be considered priority ?

They are independent of each other. Who ever get to file I-485 first (based on the priority date) can include the dependents. Individual GC will help extend the H1B status beyond 6 years.
