  • H1B blue form 221(g) chennai consulate

    Hi,

My PA happened on 13th Jan and was given a blue form with AAP ticked and nothing has been heard from consulate since then. My passport was returned back to me on the same day, but all the docs are still with them.

My petition was filed and approved under premuim process....

looks like AAP will take weeks or months,.my question is,,,,,will the consulate contact my petitioner ? but till date they have not. Any clue on wait time and next steps ????

    Regards
    Karthi

The consulate may or may not contact the petitioner as a result of the admin process. If you (or will be) work at the client location, then they may even contact the client. No one can predict when your 221g will get cleared as they are case by case basis. Search and read the posts on 221g / admin processing. There are plenty of post which you can follow.

Will you be working at your employer's office? Is your H1B petition filed with your primary/secondary work location as your employer's address? If yes, then it means that you will directly work for your employer and there is no client. It is illegal to work at a location where you don't have an approved LCA and an amended H1B petition. If you will work at your employer's location, then you need to show details of the project that you will work. If your company is a consultancy company, then there can be a lot of questions about the internal project that you will work.

@shervin...my work would be at clients place and this has been clearly mentioned in the LCA. A clean agreement copy was also subnitted to the VO.....the same was answered to the VO during interview. So, do you mean to say, consulate would contact the client using the contact details given in the petition file ?

Thanks for your help in advance!

They may, if they need to do that to clear your 221g.
