h4 visa 221g form

Hi,

My wife had an interview for H4 visa at Mumbai and she got slip (don't remember the color of the slip) asking for submitting additional document at near vfs center. She had submitted all the required documents. She asked at VFS center about submitting the passport along with document but lady at vfs denied her to submit the passport. We are waiting for consulate's answers for more than two weeks but we didn't hear anything back from them. Does anybody know how much time they usually take? Can we inquire about the status at consulate? if yes, where should we contact them? This is really frustrating. Please Help!!!!!

Search and read the posts on 221g / admin processing. The timeline cannot be predicted as they are case by case basis.

You can email the consulate / VFS helpdesk to get the status of your application. VFS can give you a case number to track your case online.

Hi,
i dont think their is any site to check the your file status But u can check that if your file is in process or not
i have the same situation like urs if u got updated please let me know ....
