H1 visa cancelled after the visa was issued in Dec,2011

Hi,

Can anyone please let me know if they faced the similar issue, as I just got a call from Chennai Consulate today and informed me that "This office regrets to inform you that your visa has been cancelled based on additional information that became available after the visa was issued. You and your family members will not be able to travel to the United States with the H1B or H4 visas previously issued to you"

I'm having a valid H1B visa issued at Chennai Consulate in Dec,2011 and suddenly I got a call like this. Please help me if anyone has any more update on this.

This is highly likely in case of a consulting company petition.
Another employer can file cap-exempt petition for you at any time and you can apply for Visa using their petition.
