H4 221g Documents submitted 6 weeks now

This is regarding my wife H4 221g visa query @ Mumbai(she is a Mumbai resident):

I have submitted all the requested documents on Jan 17th and still waiting for reply.

Is anyone have similar situation...

my company's legal council representative sent an email requesting status. still waiting...

Now my wife living at my native place in Chennai.
can she withdraw the application and re-appear at chennai consulate.

>>> I don't think it will be of any use. If there is a reason for the application to go into admin process, then the same will happen again as the previous 221g will be clearly documented and will be availble across consulates. If you withdraw and apply again, it will be just a waste of money and time.
