h1b sponsoring company acquired recently. Is Amended petition required for stamping ?

My H1B Sponsoring company A has been acquired by company B through Successor of Interest recently. I am planning to go for VISA stamping in this month end in canada or mexico. Do i need to amend my I797 petition onto Company B's name before going to stamping. Please help me if anybody have faced the similar situation.

Mergers or acquisitions do not need an H1B amendment as long as the interests of prior company are assumed by the new company and the job requirements remains the same after the change.
For stamping purpose, a letter from the new employer/company attorney mentioning the merger is all you need.
