How many years H1B is valid ?

Hello Friends,

I enter US in June 2008 and got transfer to H1B from L1 on october 2011.my Curent status is H1B visa .My question is I am still eligilble to work next 6 years in US i.e June 2017 on H1 B. OR my H1B will expire to Jun 2014 (Is Combination of L1+H1 = 6years work in US) current stamping date is June 2014.

Also when should my employer should fill for my GC?

I got transfer on L1 to H1 on OCT 2011 So I was on L1 from June 2008 to Oct 2011.I am still with same employer .If I change my Employer on H1B now .will I able to Extend the H1B visa till 6 Year stretch.

Yes. Irrespective of which employer you work for, your total time in U.S cannot exceed 6 years (L1 + H1B status combined) unless you have the G.C process started.
