Marital Status - DS160 form

Hi Everybody,

At present I am in U.S with H1B and planning to go to India on May 25th. Also I am getting married on June1st and bring my wife here with H4 dependent visa. I would like to attend the VISA stamping for me(H1) and my wife(H4) together by June 6th. In the meantime I would like to complete the DS 160 form and fix the appointment at chennai consulate on June 6th. In this scenario shall I put my marital status as Single or Married.

If would like to know whether I can put married as a martial status to book an appointment in DS160 form.

You can say Married as both of you are attending together after the marriage.

Ideally, you should give the situation/information at the time of interview, in DS160.
