Is H1 visa stamping required?

Hi All

I have my Visa type changed from L1B to H1B in January this year 2012 and the H1B approved petition is valid till January next year 2013.

I also have a approved work order valid till June 2012.

Now I'm planning to visit India in next month April 2012. My question is do I need stamping to reenter US. My L1B visa stamp is already expired. In such case is my H1B petition approval notice and the approved work order is sufficient to reenter US?

Yes, you will need to apply for Visa at a US Embassy/Consulate in order to return.
