Hello

my h1-b visa expires on 15 th may

my driving licence also valid till 15 th may

i already applied for h1-b extention

i have h1-b extention receipt petion

per rule i can stay in u.s.a. Till h1-b approved.

Now how to convice driving licence authority to extend my driving licence beyond may 15th ?

It depends ion the state you live. Most of the DMV's won't extend the license based on the receipt notice. They will need the extended approval notice. This is why your should apply for the extension in advance. USCIS gives 6 months time to extend the status before the I-94 expires. Also, there is a premium process that will get you the result within 15 days. Check with your local DMV to see if they can issue you a temporary license based on the receipt notice.
