Requirement for Green Card Application (EB2)

Folks,

I am planning to file my Green Card with a current employer X with whom I have been working with for the past 6 months. Prior to this I worked with a full time company for 20 months including my OPT period. Is it mandatory to have 2 years of experience even if I hold a master's degree? Please suggest. I came to know that if we don't have 2 years with Masters degree we get into EB3 category. Is it true?
