H1B rush this year

My employer is planning to file my visa by late April. How is the H1B rush expected this year? I hope the cap will be open by then. Any suggestion?

we cant predict that
but i figured out that many ppl got h1 visas during 2011;
so ppl will start filling and may see more rush in 2012

For the past 3 years the CAP was left open close to the year end. Most probably the same trend will continue this year.

Nobody can predict.
I personally think there will be increased filings this year because of wave of L1 denials. But I don't think that will mean cap getting over on the first day. I think it will still remain open for a 3 or 4 months at least.
