Signing Appointment Confirmation Page

Sorry if this posting has been already answered, but could not find it.

I am in US and have scheduled an interview with Mumbai Consulate in 2nd week of April. As you all know that we need to submit the appointment letter to VFS in advance.

I am planning to ask my friend to submit all the documents in VFS mumbai, but this appointment letter states to sign the document below. I thaught that I can email him this letter but after downloading the letter and looking at it, looks like I need to sign and courier it to my friend to submit it to VFS.

Does a signed scanned copy is accepted or any ways to electronically sign this.

Have any body done this before? Can we submit the document without Signature (as this might be electronicallly signed as we have to provide password to open it).

Please guide.

Sorry for the confusion here. The Signature is required on the checklist and not appointment letter. I had a quick look when downloaded and got confused.

Can this document (checklist) be a scanned copy?

I don't it will be a problem. They should be able to accept it. If you are in doubt, talk to VFS helpdesk.

I have emailed VFS regarding hte same question on Friday (March 30th) and havent heard back yet.

I have asked my friend in Mumbai to go ahead and submit lets see what VFS have to say.

Any body have any knowledge on this please share, if you have submited the Checklist without signin it in Mumbai VFS office.
