H1B Visa Filling

Hi

My employer will be filling the H1B Visa in April itself with express filling.

I am not sure when I will be eligible to work in USA after the visa stamping.

Do Visa interviews start after 1st October 2012

Will appreciate your help on this.

You can apply for the Visa anytime after petition is approved. However, you can only travel to US about 10 days before Oct 1 (Sep 20 or so) and start working on Oct 1.

You can appear for the visa interview 90 days prior to the petition effective date. Like mentioned in the earlier response, you can travel only 10 days prior to the petition effective date. However, you can work only when the petition becomes effective.

1) Schooling up to 10th (10 Yrs)
2) Diploma (3 Yrs, Full Time)
3) PG Diploma (6 Months, Full Time)
4) Total IT work experience is 8.2 Yrs
5) B.E ( Bachelor of Engineering -- 3Yrs - Distance Education)

But it does not show any thing about Distance education/ Part time degree.

It just states the Bachelor Degree from recognized Univ.

Well, that is the requirement for H1B. If you have a lot of work experience, then you will have to do an educational evaluation to figure out if you are eligible for H1B.
