Apply H4 after L1 withdrawal

Hi all,

I was working on L1-B in USA. My spouse is working on H1-B currently. Upon recieving an RFE on my L1B extension my employer decided to withdraw the petition. The lawyers suggested going back to India and get an H4 since my L1B and I-94 both expired. My lawyers filed the withdrawal after I went to India. Now I see RFE response review stage on USCIS website. I am unsure if taking H4 visa appointment in INdia without reieving a decision from USCIS is advisable. Will going for a visa interview in this situation affect my chances of getting the H4 visa?

Both are unrelated. You can apply for H4 Visa. If petition is approved later, you can apply for L1 Visa.
