  • L1 to H1 COS

    Hi,

I got my H1b approved in March 2012, but COS from L1 to H1 got rejected since I travelled to India while application was in progress (for 4 weeks Nov -Dec 2011).

Now my employer has filed Amendment to COS so that I dont need to go to Canada/India for H1b stamping.

So my question is, what are chances of approval of COS?
Is there any chances of rejection of COS Amendment due to earlier reason of India travel during application was in progress?

(I havent travelled outside USA since I got H1 approval).

    Thanks,
    Vin

    >>> No one can predict that. You have to wait and see.

    >>> That will not be a reason for rejection. But it can get rejected for any other reason.

(I havent travelled outside USA since I got H1 approval).
    >>> That doesn't really matter when the H1B got approved for consular process.

      Thanks for the reply shervin143.

What could be other reasons for L1 to H1 COS denial if not the one I mentioned in earlier post?

      Thanks,
      Vin

Search and read the posts on H1B RFE. There are plenty of reasons for rejection. Few RFEs were requesting for additional documentation, employer/employee relationship, client letter, SOW etc.
