  • H1B Stamping in Canada

    Hi,

I'm currently in USA. I have my H1B approved, but being I-94 expired, I need to travel internationally to reactivate my H1B. However, due to project constraints, I'm advised to go for either Canada or Mexico for getting stamped. My employer is not suggesting India.

Given this situation, which of the Canada locations is a better option for me. I'm planning for Vancouver. Is this a good option ? Please share your experiences.

I have the new I-797 and old expired I-94. What documents are needed before I go for stamping to Canada.

Should my case is denied in Canada, will be given a transit visa (temporary for couple of weeks) to pack up my stuff in US and go back to India.

    Thanks
    Kakani.

It is not advisable to go for visa stamping to a third nation when you have accumulated illegal stay.In case is a 221g admin processing, you will end up spending more time than expected in an unknown country. If the visa gets rejected, you will not be able to enter U.S. Check the below link.
