Two h1b - 2012 & 2013 h1b filed

I have a situation here. My employer filed H1B last year 2012. As per my employer there was no updates from USCIS and they assumed the petition was not processed since they didnt have any receipt number. So they again filed H1b for this year 2013 in April. But luckily they received my approved petition for 2012 in this April. What happens to the petition my employer has filed for 2013? Will it have any impact for my 2012 visa stamping.
