L1B to H1B Visa converstion.

Hi,

My Situation:

1. I am on L1B visa from X company. visa and I-94 valid till Jan 2013.
2. First Entered on L1B in Aug-2010. after that I entered two more times and till today total Duration on L1B is 16 months (Total only time spent in US after first visit).
3. In May 2012 month, my X company is filing a petition for L1B to H1B conversion.

My Question:
1. If petition is filled, Can I visit India for personal work for 1-3 weeks in Aug 2012 month and come back in same month?
2. How much time it take to get H1 approved, if my petition filled in May 2012.

You should not. If you do, obtain H1 Visa based on the approved H1 petition and return on or after Oct 1.
2. How much time it take to get H1 approved, if my petition filled in May 2012.
15 days in Premium, 2 to 3 months in regular.
