I am applying for H1B thru desi consultant and he is saying that they are product company and they wouldmention in the petition regarding some internal projects then do you think this is justifiable to USCIS or they need client letter for sure?

It depends on where you will work. If you will be working at the client location, then a client letter is required. In case your company is a consulting company and they indeed have an internal project, then they will need submit detailed documents on the internal project and if USCIS is convinced, they will approve the petition.

In the recent past,there's been more scrutiny by USCIS on internal projects/products including site visits.Of course,this has nothing that you have to worry about,but it's just my experience.
