221 g Processing time chennai?? May 2012

Hi all,
I work for a non-profit research organization and I gave my visa interview on May 10 @ Chennai. This is my first H1b stamping and I was hand over a pink slip. The VO retained my passport and my i797 form along with my resume. So do you guys have any idea how long its going to take for me to get back my passport. Its already been three weeks....
Reading all those blogs where people have been waiting for 4-6 months scares me!!!... I will lose my job if i don't get in another 2 weeks...Time is absolute essential for research....Please help me and give ur suggestion how to handle the situation...thanks!

>>> No one can predict the time that takes to resolve a 221g. It is case by case basis. Some got resolved in a couple of weeks, some even takes an year. Search and read the posts on 221g/admin processing.

did u receive your passport with visa stamped ?
