Stamping from previous employer expiring in Sept, Can I visit India and return in Aug

Hi,

I got my H1B stamped a couple of years back when I went to India which is valid till Sept 17 2012.

I changed my employer last year.

Now, I am planning to go to India in July 3rd week till Aug 2nd week. If I do so, I would be landing in US with valid stamping but, which will be valid only till next one month. Is it safe to come back from India without getting stamped?

I read in lot of forums saying it is ok to travel if you have a valid stamping irrespective of who is your current employer. Hence I am planning for this trip.

Only concern I have is will there be any issue with the Immigration Officer @ Port of Entry?
